Nearly 3 weeks ago me and Danielle over at Sweet as Honey arranged a blog swap, i received the huge parcel in the post around 2weeks ago and since then i have been trying out all the great goodies she got for me.
Today i will be reviewing all the foundations and tinted moisturisers she sent me
In total there were 5.
I've rated them out of 5 and put them all in order..
1. Covergirl foundation - 130 Classic Beige
What i like:
- Once blended in was quite a nice colour match
- It's in a glass bottle, but it came out easy as the liquid was quite runny
What i dislike:
- Unfortunately i forgot to tell Danielle that i had quite dry/sensitive skin (that's my fault) and this foundation is for normal skin.
- It takes a while to blend in because the liquid is quite runny.
I rate this foundation = 2 / 5
2. Wet n Wild Ultimate Match SPF15 Liquid Foundation - 855A Beige
- Blended in really well, and was a perfect colour match
- It has SPF in it so that's a bonus for me
- Hard to get out the glass bottle - i had to smack the bottle a few times and the above picture is how much i could get out.
- It has a funny smell to it, it's not strong but it just reminds me abit like medicine smell.
I rated this foundation = 2.5 / 5
3. Covergirl Nature Luxe Liquid Silk Foundation SPF10 - 305Alabaster
What i like:
- Smells really nice
- Blends in really well
- The formulation was perfect- not to thick and not to runny
- It has SPF in it
What i dislike:
- The foundation was one shade too light for my skin tone
I rated this foundation = 3.5 / 5
4. Hard Candy Just Face It One Step Foundation - 363 Medium
What i like:
- Wasn't to thick and it wasn't to runny - was perfect
- Gave me amazing coverage
- Smells soo nice
What i dislike:
- The only thing i disliked was it was a little too dark for my skintone
I rated this foundation = 4 / 5
5. Covergirl Aqua CG Smoothers Tinted Moisture SPF 15 - 810 Light to Medium
What i like:
- It was a little runny but it blended in the best out of all of these foundations
- It was a perfect colour match
- Smells really nice
- I also found it dries really quickly making it easier for me to set it with a powder
What i dislike:
I couldn't find a single fault with this tinted moisturiser. It reminded me abit of my most loved foundation (Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation) I really loved how it blended in really well and the fact it dries within around 5seconds. The smell also reminded me abit like my Bourjois foundation too.
I rated this tinted moisturiser = 5 / 5
Overall i liked all the foundations and tinted moisturisers that Danielle got me. It was great to try out different brands and different textures of foundations. I think Danielle did an amazing job on picking the shades as most of the foundations she picked for me were perfect or almost perfect for my skintone. Obviously Danielle doesn't know much about me and doesn't know my exact skin tone or anything like that but i think she did such a great job on picking out the shades.
I will definitely be using all of these foundations and tinted moisturisers again, the ones which aren't my shade i will be keeping for when i do more tutorials on other people :)
Next i will be reviewing the eyeshadows she got me - so stay tuned for that it will be up during the week
Thank you soo much to Danielle - Please check out her blog 'here' and remember to click the 'follow' button :)
